The Friends Alliance Awards
About the Friends Alliance Awards
In coordination with the Historic Sites Community Engagement Program, the Friends of the Texas Historical Commission (FTHC) is accepting nominations for the 2025 Friends Alliance Awards to honor outstanding volunteer efforts by a local friends group, supporting nonprofit, or an individual volunteer for a THC historic site. The nominations are administered by the Community Engagement Program, and the awards are selected by the FTHC Board of Directors during the fall quarterly meeting.
The Friends Alliance awardee will be honored with the following:
- Recognized publicly by the FTHC at the Real Places Conference.
- Awarded $500 to the nonprofit, or $500 designated to the site if the awardee is an individual volunteer.
- The awardee, or one representative of the nonprofit/friends group, will receive free admission to the Real Places conference and a complimentary hotel room at the conference hotel.
More about the award:
Friends Alliance Awards are available only to an official friends group, supporting nonprofit organization, or to an individual volunteer that partners with a THC-State Historic Site.
