Restrictions and Special Instructions
- Fort Griffin and the Official State of Texas Longhorn Herd: Please contact Mitch Baird and Dr. Will Cradduck (mitch.Baird@thc.texas.gov and Will.Cradduck@thc.texas.gov) to schedule the pick-up for your two calves, to schedule your tour of the site, and to receive your gift basket. Site is closed on Mondays.
- Stasney’s Cook Ranch: Your stay must be booked in advance by calling the Stasney office for availability. No pets allowed. No smoking. Booked on a first-come basis between February 1, 2025, to August 25, 2025. All activities including fishing and tour require executed Ranch release form. Must arrive during daylight hours.
- Goodnight Steakhouse: Gift certificate valued at $50; any amount exceeding this value will be the responsibility of the guest.
- Old Jail Art Center: Please contact Patrick Kelly at pkelly@theojac.org or 325-762-2269 to redeem and schedule tour date/time. Tour available for a one-hour bracket between Tuesday – Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm. Some exceptions may apply dependent upon existing programs/events.
- Shackelford County Courthouse tour: Please contact Judge Viertel’s office at 325-762-9405 to schedule the tour. Please provide a 6-week notice for scheduling purposes. The tour will be for approximately one hour.
