Dr. Terry Colley

Terry Colley began his career in historic preservation as the Main Street Manager in the cities of San Marcos and Grapevine, Texas. He served the Texas Historical Commission as the State Coordinator of the nationally recognized Texas Main Street Program, then as Community Heritage Development Division Director, and finally as the agency’s Deputy Executive Director and Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer for 24 years before retiring in May, 2014. He is now the senior pastor of Burton Hill Baptist Church in Westworth Village, Texas, a Certified Church Consultant, and the past Chairman of the Board of the Hands of Luke Medical Ministries in El Paso, Texas.

Dr. Colley is a native of Austin, Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (1983) from Southwest Texas State University, now Texas State University, in San Marcos, Texas. He earned his Master of Divinity (1995) and his Doctor of Ministry (2002) from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Terry and his wife, Jennifer, have two grown children and make their home in Stephenville.
